Management asbestos surveys
There are two kinds of asbestos surveys that you can choose from: the management survey and the refurbishment and demolition survey. A management survey is the standard survey that commercial buildings must undergo by law under the The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012.
Its purpose is to locate the presence of any asbestos-containing materials in the building that could be damaged or disturbed. The survey will involve collecting samples of building materials to confirm the presence or absence of asbestos-containing materials. Refurbishment and demolition asbestos surveys
This asbestos survey is required before you start any work on your property. In this survey, the intrusion will be greater than a management survey. Demolition surveys are supposed to locate all asbestos in your building or the relevant parts of the building. Like the management survey, building materials will be sampled for asbestos containing materials and their potential for releasing fibres.
